QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Ask a Question-
Hi! My kitty has a heart murmur, and I was wondering about the warning that "while not specifically contraindicated, [this product] may be cautioned for pets with heart issues". I have not been able to find any info about CBD being a problem for heart patients, and my vet has heard nothing about it either. Is this specifically about your product? Thanks!
Hello,
Thank you for your question.
CBD has not, to this date, been specifically contraindicated for a heart murmur. What has been suggested by veterianarians is the possibility that CBD may strengthen the effects of heart medications that a dog or cat may be used for heart conditions.
I have not, to date, seen a specific Cardiovascular Contraindication be listed for CBD. Since we do not speak to most pet parents, we follow the stricturest protocols and list anything that has or may be reported by veterinarians, for the benefit of pets and pet parents.
In summary, you are correct in stating that nothing specific has been reported so it is regarded as safe for use.
Please let me know if I can help further.

How often should I rub the salve in my cat's ear? She suffers from IBS and hyperesthesia. I don't want to over dose her. Thank you so much.
Hello, you can't overdose your cat using our CBD topical since it does not contain THC and is not psychoactive. You just spread a thin layer to the ears twice daily. For acute or chronic pain, you may apply several times a day. We suggest you keep a journal that allows you to record your cat's response. It gives you the best feedback on how often a topcal application is needed for your cat. It does absorb quickly and lasts for many hours. Thank you!

Does this work to calm an agressive cat?
Hello, yes the topical can be used for aggressive cats of all ages. It's usually easiest applied to the inside of the ears. If your cat or kitten grooms herself, there are NO essential oils or scents that are toxic to cats of all ages so it's safe for ingestion. It works very quickly with about a 95% absorption ratio which is the highest in the industry. It's great for helping regulate excessive stress and anxiety response, including aggression and pain driven negative behaviors. Thank you!

I am interested in trying this for my almost 15 year old cocker spaniel who has bad arthritis. She is so thin now, down to 15 lbs. Are there dosing recommendations?
Hello, the topical can be applied to the inside of the ears as well as directly to the affected joints. There are NO essential oils or scents that are toxic to dogs and it's safe for ingestion. It works very quickly with about a 95% absorption ratio and is great for pain response throughout the body, including aching joints. Typically we suggest applying twice daily by applying a thin layer to all affected areas. We also suggest for pet parents to keep a journal of your pet's response so you can determine the optimal dosing. Some pets needs more frequent dosings depending on the level of their discomfort. The good thing is that if ingested, there is first a mouth assimilation as well as a secondary assimilation through the liver, giving additional relief to dogs like yours who suffer from joint pain. Thank you!

I am currently giving my cat cbd treats in hopes to slow tumor growthes resulting from leukemia vaccine. His left leg was amputated, but sadly, like 40 % of cats, the cancer has returned. Is there any benefit to adding the salve where the tumors are still growing under the skin?
Hello, so sorry to read about your cat! The topical would be best applied to the ears as well as to the affected areas. Amputation can result in radiating nerve pain and CBD may help function like a neurasthenic to help potentially relieve nerve pain. You might want to call us directly for more info on other products we might suggest. 877 723 4468. Thank you!

would this be safe to put on wounds that are open and weeping? the wounds are small, but they are open, and occasionally weep on my Sheltie.
Hello,
This can be applied directly to open and weeping wounds. The limited ingredient deck does encourage not only possible cellular and wound healing potential but also strong anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-fungal, anti-microbial, anti-septic, anti-inflammatory actions. Because the plant actions also function as neurasthentic, meaning may help limit nerve pain, as well as may help limit anxiety and pain response.
